Vision Activation Coaching Program Step #3 Vision Awareness
Getting into the flow towards our dreams often requires a certain amount of self-awareness of how we can align our energies and efforts, and bring harmony to our approach.
So, we have our grand vision that we have given ourselves permission to name and own, without limits or constraints - how exciting!? I know it is easy to jump into the, well then “how” am I going to make this exciting and expansive dream come true!? But for now, I just want you to relish in the emotions that come up when you imagine this future reality. I believe the deeper we allow ourselves to feel into that emotional reality, which is actually what we want more than the packaging, the quicker it will find its way to us.
The other thing that is important once we have named our desired future, is determining our own unique approach to realizing that vision, according to our own style, personality, and energies.
The challenge with this is that so many of us have absorbed messages from society about who we “should” be, or how we “should” approach reaching our goals - typically messages that lead us to believe it requires an immense amount of effort and hustle. But for a lot of us, that can actually work against us versus for us in determining the creative and intuitive role we get to play in our activation of our vision.
Additionally, convention advice about pursuing a new path or dream can be to look at how others, who are a few steps, or many steps, ahead of us have approached what we desire to create.
As I have sought advice about increasing brand awareness and attracting more clients with my coaching, many have pointed me to social media accounts of those who have built six-figure businesses. It has been a journey to return to remembering my own style of building a concept, which plays to my own strengths of co-designing and experimenting with ideal customers, relying on hosting events to build trust and community, and realizing I needed to ask for help creating social media content since playing around with Canva is not my version of fun or play.
So while it can be supportive to look at how others have approached our goal to provide some inspiration, it is valuable to remember that copy and pasting is doing ourselves and others a disservice. A healthy filter of this type of research through the lens of self-understanding is important to keep in mind. We get to decide how we move towards our vision in a way that is right and true for us, and will help us actually ENJOY the process!
There are a lot of different ways that we can seek this insight about how we can work with ourselves vs. against ourselves in charting our course. Most of us have a lot of material to work with just from the experience to date that we have built in our careers and lives.
So it is important to reflect on where it felt like there was ease in reaching a desired goal previously, and we witnessed what it can feel like to be in a “flow state,” and on the other hand, where we felt a lot of resistance, because we were not able to leverage our natural talents and abilities.
Personality Assessments are also extremely valuable, and this is an area where I can be quite a nerd, based upon my various roles in career coaching and human resources.
My most recent discovery has been the tool of Human Design, which is meant to show you where and how to access your body’s consciousness as a decision-making tool, and ultimately, how to live as your most authentic self.
Rather than a series of self-assessment questions, it creates your chart based upon your birth date, time of birth, and location of birth, kind of similar to a Natal Chart.
I could spend more time explaining, but I think you will get a lot more out of experiencing it for yourself, which is why this step involves building out a personalized report, which we will unpack in our next coaching session.
It is my belief that this insight will help you accelerate your path towards creating the life of your dreams, because you will have greater insight about how to align with your unique personal power and energies in this process.
I look forward to discovering together how you were beautifully made in order to unlock deeper layers of your truth and power…what were you put on earth to do, and how were you designed to make it a reality?
Some questions I encourage you to reflect on through journaling or conversation before our session include:
What is an experience in your life, work or otherwise, where you experienced a high level of resistance or difficulty, and had a sense that you were fighting against your true nature or strengths?
Where are you already aware of cultural conditioning that you have taken on throughout your life that is out of alignment with the truth of who you are or how you are meant to operate?
What is something you have done where you felt completely in the flow, and a huge influx of energy that just seemed to carry you effortlessly through the task, experience, assignment, or challenge?
Have you had the experience of working with a colleague or a collaborator where your strengths wonderfully complimented each other, that gave you a greater sense of how you best function in a team? If so, what strength did you have, and what strengths did they have?
You can find time for a virtual coffee here. If I am not the right resource, I would still love to learn a bit about your story, and see if there is another connection point I might be able to point you towards that might help you find your way forward.
