About Elizabeth

I have built a career and life driven by curiosity, embracing the excitement of new beginnings, the challenge of wicked problems, and the opportunities to build new networks near and far. I enjoy connecting the dots between industries/sectors, cultures, and ideas, and as a result has sought work in a variety of fields including higher education, corporate healthcare, professional service agencies, EdTech, and International Development. During my career, I have assumed the role of coach, recruiter, program manager, community builder, partnership manager, & product developer.

Within this meandering and dynamic journey, there have been some universal themes professionally and personally, that have transcended my various re-invention maneuvers. 

Personal:

• Curiosity: Since I was a child I have been fascinated by different cultures and also the variety of factors that contribute to inequities in our world. I have been on an endless quest to understand what is universal about the human experience, and also that which divides us. Additionally, a colleague recently called me an "idea hunter," and whelp, that about summed it up.

• Challenge: During an astrological reading along the way, I was told that I needed to live around tall skyscrapers or big mountains, because some part of me needed something to "scale" and I was immediately reminded of my need to seek out new challenges, physically, emotionally, or professionally, that help me learn new things about myself, and expand my capacity, empathy, and confidence. 

• Community: While self-actualization is a high priority in my life, I am also continuously drawn to studying the art of community. It seems to be something we all crave and yet also brings up lots of complicated feelings, as many intimate relationships tend to do. And yet, I have observed the power that a curated community can have to amplify and enhance our individual sparks of light, and still believe it has great power to unlock our greatest potential. 

Professional:

• Experiential Education: From designing college internship programs for an IT&S division within corporate healthcare to crafting competency-focused career development programs for aspiring mid-career software developers in training, my journey underscores a dedication to designing experiential education opportunities to support economic and talent development at every career turn.

• Impact Entrepreneurship: I've had the privilege of supporting the launch of initiatives like mobile grocery stores addressing food security and social networking platforms promoting responsible tourism leaders. Partnering with mission-driven leaders to scale impactful solutions has been another cornerstone of my career.

• Leadership Development: Whether cultivating coaching cultures in tech companies or facilitating leadership programs in Rwanda, I'm passionate about equipping individuals to lead with confidence and compassion, fostering environments where both people and organizations thrive.
