Michael Grosspietsch

Michael is passionate about opportunities that promise substantial social impact. Over the past 20 years, he has developed deep roots and large networks on the African and Asian continents. Among others, he founded the Global Engagement Institute (GEI), a leading provider of study abroad programs and internships in East Africa, Southern Africa, and Southeast Asia. GEI has worked with more than 80 mainly American universities - from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Georgetown to large public university systems and private liberal arts colleges. Specialty areas include key social impact areas, such as health, economic empowerment, and education & social change. The current priority focus is on Change Leadership for Sustainable Development. This is not only Michael's greatest passion but also something that he and his team have now turned into a highly successful accredited interdisciplinary university course.
